I'm an Asian-American Director, though I'm not quite sure what that all means. The question of how that unique perspective influences the stories I want to tell get's brought up a lot in this industry. But to be honest, my perspective is the only one I've ever had. It's this half Vietnamese half Scottish openness about cultures and personalities that lenses my life. I appreciate the nuances and similarities of the people we're perhaps not used to seeing on screen. But does that make me special? Not sure. I do think my damn hard work ethic and calm cool-headed problem solving as a director puts me above the rest.

I've cut my teeth as an episodic director with BratTV having done nearly 100 episodes of scripted content often with Instagram Influencers at the forefront. There I learned how to work with real actors, teenage actors, child actors, and non-actors as well as solve any sort of nightmare while still making a 10 page day with kid's pumpkin times.
